DDD Foundation: Dialogue for Democracy and Development

Romania – Moldova Government & Investment Forum

A bilateral forum on the Black Sea regional future: security, resilience and co-operation within the European framework.

PlanningCross-border economic cooperation

The Romania – Moldova Government & Investment Forum convenes senior Romanian and Moldovan government representatives with investors and institutional partners active across both economies. Held under the theme "Shaping the Black Sea regional future: security, resilience and co-operation within the European framework," it situates the bilateral agenda within the wider Black Sea and Eastern European context.

The programme moves across the questions that define the relationship: institutional convergence and administrative capacity for Moldova's EU accession; geopolitics and security on the Eastern flank in light of the war in Ukraine; investment, growth and critical-infrastructure connectivity; energy security and cross-border interconnection; and human capital and labour-market transformation. It closes with a joint Romania–Moldova cooperation declaration and the announcement of a follow-up coordination mechanism.

The Forum is scheduled for October 2026 in Chișinău. Exact dates, venue and the final participant list are provisional and will be confirmed closer to the event.
