Adela Wiener is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Aurachain, an enterprise software company headquartered in central Switzerland. Aurachain develops a low-code platform that organisations use to design, build and run business process applications, bringing together process orchestration, system integrations, analytics and governance controls, applied principally in financial services, supply chain and logistics, and real estate. The company reports a team of more than 100 people across five office locations, including Romania, the United Kingdom, the United States and the United Arab Emirates, and clients in seventeen countries. Ms Wiener is based in the canton of Lucerne.

Ms Wiener has spent effectively her entire career with a single business and its successors. She joined a former colleague's start-up eight months after leaving university, working in turn as analyst, project manager and solutions architect before moving into operations and business development, and went on to lead the company as its chief executive. That business, AGYS, implemented custom business process management and automation projects for enterprise clients across Europe and the Gulf. In February 2018 it incorporated a separate Swiss entity for its own low-code platform, Smart Fabric AG, which was renamed Aurachain AG in May 2019; the platform reached the market the following month.

Rather than continue as a services provider, Ms Wiener chose to convert the business into a software product company, packaging its accumulated intellectual property and delivery experience into a single platform. In April 2020 Aurachain's technology was used to build aici.gov.ro, the portal through which Romanian companies applied for the state's pandemic job-retention scheme: it was delivered in about a week by a consortium coordinated by Romania's Authority for Digitalisation, with Aurachain supplying the low-code platform, and at its peak the portal handled some 48,700 applications in a single day. The company's announced clients include CEC Bank, which adopted its platform for digitalisation projects in 2021, together with the Bucharest Stock Exchange and the Central Depository. In February 2024 Ms Wiener appointed a deputy chief executive to support expansion across the EMEA region.

Ms Wiener studied at the University POLITEHNICA of Bucharest. She has been featured in The Silicon Review's Top 30 Best Leaders to Watch for 2020 and in Analytics Insight's December 2020 selection of the most impactful women in technology, writes as an opinion contributor for CEOWORLD magazine, and appears among the speakers of the Central and Eastern Europe Business Summit.
